Dalit Bandhu is the latest flagship programme of the Telangana government. It is envisioned as a welfare scheme for empowering Dalit families and enable entrepreneurship among them through a direct benefit transfer of Rs 10 lakh per family. This will be India’s biggest direct benefit transfer scheme.

 India’s nomination of Rudreswara Temple(Ramappa Temple) in the state of Telangana has been inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage list. The decision was taken at the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO on 25th July 2021.
Rudreswara(Ramappa) Temple The Rudreswara temple was constructed in 1213 AD during the reign of the Kakatiya Empire by RecharlaRudra, a general of Kakatiya king Ganapati Deva. The presiding deity here is RamalingeswaraSwamy. It is also known as the Ramappa temple, after the sculptor who executed the work in the temple for 40 years. The temple complexes of Kakatiyas have a distinct style, technology and decoration exhibiting the influence of the Kakatiyan sculptor. European merchants and travelers were mesmerized by the beauty of the temple and one such traveler had remarked that the temple was the "brightest star in the galaxy of medieval temples of the Deccan". Sources : PIB Korean firm PharmCADD has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology - Hyderabad (IITH), for co-developing new drugs and advancing platform technology PharmulatorTM on 24th July 2021. Under this MoU IIT-H will provide PharmCADD key members to conduct academic research in the field of AI and quantum calculation for new drug development.
About PharmCADD PharmCADD has designed and optimised the mRNA sequence for developing COVID mRNA vaccine recently applied for IND (Investigational New Drug) to begin clinical trial 1/2a study in Korea. Based on this experience PharmCADD expanding a vaccine developing platform technology with IIT-H resources. The State government has allocated ₹1,000 crore for the project in the budget for the current financial year to ensure that the amount is credited into the accounts of eligible beneficiaries so that they could realise their aspirations and ensure their livelihood prospects.
Sources : The Hindu IIT-Hyderabad developed cheaper COVID-19 testing kit ‘COVIHOME’. This test kit can produce results within 30 minutes. ‘COVIHOME’ test kit was to break the transmission chain through affordable testing. Each test costs around ₹400 now. However, mass production of the testing kit will help to reduce the cost to around ₹300 per test.
