Renowned Telugu writer and poet, well known for his revolutionary writings and participation in civil rights movements, Kumbham Yadava Reddy, has been chosen for the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award-2020. Chosen for his anthology of poems Agniswaasa, penned in 2017, the 83year-old Kumbham Yadava Reddy is popularly known by his pen name Nikhileswar.

Born in Veeravalli village, in the present day Yadadri Bhongir district of Telangana, as Kumbham Yadava Reddy, he completed his B.A. and B.Ed degrees from Osmania University

Ease of Life Index ranking was conceptualised in 2018 and developed with a framework in 2020. The EoLI 2020 strengthens its scope by consolidating the framework with the addition of a Citizen Perception Survey in the index, holding a weightage of 30%. It, therefore, examines the outcomes that lead to existing living conditions through pillars of Quality of Life, Economic Ability, Sustainability, spanning across 13 categories of Education, Health, Housing and Shelter, WASH and SWM, Mobility, Safety and Security, Recreation, Level of Economic Development, Economic Opportunities, Environment, Green Spaces, and Buildings, Energy Consumption, and City Resilience, that account for 70% of the overall outcome.
