Established : 1927 Established in 1927, FICCI is the largest and oldest apex business organisation in India. Its history is closely interwoven with India's struggle for independence, its industrialization, and its emergence as one of the most rapidly growing global economies. A non-government, not-for-profit organisation, FICCI is the voice of India's business and industry. From influencing policy to encouraging debate, engaging with policy makers and civil society, FICCI articulates the views and concerns of industry. It serves its members from the Indian private and public corporate sectors and multinational companies, drawing its strength from diverse regional chambers of commerce and industry across states. FICCI provides a platform for networking and consensus building within and across sectors and is the first port of call for Indian industry, policy makers and the international business community. FICCI Steering Committee The Steering Committee of FICCI meets from time to time to deliberate on major government policies of concern to Indian business and also advises the Executive Committee of FICCI on the issues to be taken up with the Government. It also discusses major global and domestic trends and debates fresh ideas and perspectives on business and economy. This body comprises National Experts from different fields and includes all Past Presidents of FICCI. FICCI Executive Committee The National Executive Committee of FICCI comprises top industrialists of the country, chief executives of multinational corporations, heads of public sector enterprises, financial institutions, banks and management experts. The Executive Committee meets from time to time in different regions and deliberates on national and region specific issues.
