central armed police force(assistant commandant) EXAM pattern

Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants (Group A) Examination held by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) in  3 stages. The stages are:

1. Exam (objective and Descriptive),
2. Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests and
3. Interview (personality test)

EXAM

• General Ability and Intelligence or Paper 1
• General Studies, Essay and Comprehension or paper 2

Paper I :
General Ability and Intelligence -This paper has 125 question each carries 2 marks with total of 250 Marks . There is a penalty of 33% marks out of the allocated marks for every wrong answer.The questions in this paper will be of Objective (Multiple Answers) Type.

Paper II :
General Studies, Essay and Comprehension ‐ Total Marks allotted to this paper is 200 Marks (Descriptive Paper).

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST
Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. 

Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) For Male

1. 100 Meters race          -16 seconds 
2. 800 Meters race         - 3 minutes 45 seconds 
3. Long Jump                   -3.5 Meters(3 chances)
4. Shot Put (7.26 Kgs.)   -4.5 Meters

Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) For Female

1. 100 Meters race          -18 seconds 
2. 800 Meters race         - 4 minutes 45 seconds 
3. Long Jump                   -3.0 Meters(3 chances)
4. Shot Put (7.26 Kgs.)   -

CAPF(ASSISTANT COMMANDANT) INTERVIEW
CAPF(Assistant Commandant) interview: 150 Marks
