Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020-21 won by Tamil Nadu

The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is a domestic Twenty20 cricket championship in India, organized by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), among the teams from Ranji Trophy. It is named after the famous Indian test cricketer, Syed Mushtaq Ali. The 2006-2007 inaugural season of this trophy was won by Tamil Nadu under the captaincy of Dinesh Karthik. The tournament will begin on January 10 with the final scheduled to take place on January 31.The tournament will feature 38 teams across six different groups - five Elite groups and one Plate group.

• Elite Group B - Odisha, Bengal, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad, Assam

• Elite Group C - Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Baroda, Uttarakhand

• Elite Group D - Services, Saurashtra, Vidarbha, Rajasthan, Madya Pradesh, Goa

• Elite Group E - Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala, Puducherry

• Plate Group - Meghalaya, Chandigarh, Bihar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh
