Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary has become the fourth tiger reserve in Rajasthan

National Tiger Conservation Authority(NTCA) has approved the conversion of the Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary in Rajasthan’s Bundi district into the fourth tiger reserve on 6th July 2021. Apart from Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary three tiger reserve in the state are
  1. Ranthambore Tiger Reserve
  2. Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserveand
  3. Sariska Tiger Reserve.
​In 1982 part of the Bundi district was declared Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary. In 2020, the Rajasthan government had announced the plan to upgrade the sanctuary as a tiger reserve for improving the Wildlife ecosystem.
