Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium has become the world’s largest cricket stadium with a capacity of 1.32 lakh spectators. President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium on  February 24, 2021. the stadium was not only the largest in the world but also provides world-class facilities for various sporting activities. The stadium showcases the aspirations and capabilities of the New India that has made a strong mark on the world stage.

The stadium initially constructed in 1982 with a seating capacity of 49,000 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Expansion of Stadium took over in 63 acres, the stadium has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 800 crore and with a seating capacity for 1,32,000 spectators, it has surpassed the hallowed Melbourne Cricket Ground which can accommodate 90,000.
