India’s seventh Trade Policy Review (TPR) began on 6th January 2021, at the World Trade Organization in Geneva. India’s last TPR took place in 2015.

About WTO Trade Policy Review Mechanism (TPRM) The Trade Policy Review (TPR) is an important mechanism under the WTO’s monitoring function, and involves a comprehensive peer-review of the Member’s national trade policies. The reviews take place in the Trade Policy Review Body which is actually the WTO General Council — comprising the WTO’s full membership — operating under special rules and procedures. Sources : PIB
