Aqua farmers in Andhra Pradesh signed on 21st July 2021 to sell produce through e-Santa. Aquaculture farmers in the state are planning to update the details of their produce online and market their stocks through e-Santa, an electronic marketplace to export marine products. The system will provide direct connectivity to farmers and exporters and the producer will get a good price, depending upon the quality of the produce.

Koya tribes go hunting as part of the ‘Bhumi Panduga’ celebrations, marking the beginning of farm operations every year. The Koya tribes say this is the last time they are celebrating the festival in their ancestral villages in the close vicinity of the Polavaram irrigation project as they are evacuated and the government is preparing to shift them to the rehabilitation colonies.

A cash prize of ₹10 lakh and a memento would be given to the YSR Lifetime Achievement Awardees. Similarly ₹5 lakh cash prize and a memento would be given to each YSR Achievement award winner.

The growth rate, which was 8.6 % when compared to the national average of 4.05 % during 2019-20 fiscal year, has increased to 8.80 % against the national average of 6.56 % during the 2020-21 financial year.

The objective is to provide 20 tmcft water to Chittoor and Kadapa districts for 120 days in a year.
