The government with Government Order(G.O.) constitution of ‘Andhra Pradesh State Architectural Board’ for standardisation of architectural designs, plans, elevation, cost estimates etc. The Finance Minister will be its Chairman and Secretary - Finance (in-charge of Works Department) the member-convener.

The Orvakal airport on the outskirts of Kurnool city has got the approval of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) after completion of all the mandatory safety inspections and creation of infrastructure. The airport though located at Orvakal will be called Kurnool Airport, Kurnool. The licence has been given to the Andhra Pradesh Airports Development Corporation Limited to operate flights. This airlines would start operating flights from March itself, adding that it was the first airport in South India to be entirely developed by a State government. the government had spent ₹150 crore on the fledgeling airport in 2020 and that it would give a fillip to industrial development in the backward region.
The government has directed the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department (PR&RDD) to take steps for strengthening the LED street lighting programme – ‘Jagananna Palle Velugu’ – in coordination with the Energy Department.It has entrusted the repairs and maintenance of the LED street lights to the village secretariats.
Coinciding with the Kanuma festival, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on 15 january 2021 took part in the ‘Kamadhenu Utsavam’ (worship of holy cow) at a programme organised by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at Narasaraopet. The TTD organised the event as part of its mission to protect cows. The TTD is organising the event in 2,679 temples across the State.
As part of its efforts to develop the Krishnapatnam node in the Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor (CBIC), the State government has identified a start-up area of nearly 2,140 acres for investments.
The total area of Krishnapatnam node is 13,480 acres. The Central Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the creation of trunk infrastructure in it at an estimated cost of nearly ₹2,200 crore. The State government’s focus is on attracting computer and electronics, optical products, automobile, engineering and machinery, pharmaceutical, food processing and textile and apparel units. |
